Our first issue received a great reception, and thanks to the quality of the writing and the support of our subscribers we are pleased to be announcing that issue two will come out in June. Submissions are already open for this summer issue, with a submission deadline of the 8th May. Welcoming all short stories, poetry and other literary writings!
We've received a huge amount of help and support to get issue one released - now we're pleased to invite Londoners to come and help us celebrate at the launch this Wednesday, from 7pm! At Rich Mix in East London you can expect performance from poet Christina Chalmers, readings from the new issue and music, art, fresh copies...

The deadline for submissions passed yesterday and we're pleased to have received nearly 1,000 submissions! We're looking forward to reading them all in the coming weeks and are very excited for the upcoming issue. Here's a little preview of the cover art - designed by the very talented Louis Fratino.
The deadline for submissions to the first print issue of the London Journal of Fiction is midnight on the 31st January. For more details see our submissions page. We've received a flood of brilliant writing already and are looking forward to seeing what else you have to offer.
We can confirm that the first print issue is being planned for the start of Spring 2016! There will be no theme and it will feature short stories less than 4,000 words alongside poetry and literary essays. Anyone is welcome to submit, regardless of style, genre or publishing record. So watch this space!
It's one month in and we've received a phenomenal number of submissions, with some real gems sitting in our inbox (soon to be posted online!) Sadly the free submission period is about to end. In order to fund the website etc, a reading fee of £2.50 is being introduced. A single payment is valid for two short stories or five poetry submissions. We look forward to reading more of your work!

We are open for submissions and, for one month only, it is free to send in your writing! Work in any style or genre is encouraged - our main interest is in the quality of the writing. You can submit either poetry (up to five pieces at a time) or prose (up to two pieces at a time). The prose may be in the form of short stories, or literary essays / reviews, and must be under 4,000 words long.

The London Journal of Fiction is a new quarterly journal for writers, both young and established.
